Contingent resources are those quantities of energy resources estimated, as of a given date, to be potentially recoverable from known accumulations or deposits using established technology or technology under development. For coal organisations this category is often referred to as reserves.
Contingent resources are those quantities of energy resources estimated, as of a given date, to be potentially recoverable from known accumulations or deposits using established technology or technology under development. For coal organisations this category is often referred to as reserves.
These quantities are not (yet) commercial. Maturing of the project to produce this quantity, or technical abilities or economic factors may convert these contingent resources into reserves.
