Commission Regulation (EU) No 1312/2014 of 10 December 2014 amending Regulation (EU) No 1089/2010 implementing Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards interoperability of spatial data services
This document provides a technological and conceptual overview status for the invocation of INSPIRE Invoke Spatial Data (SDS) Services under several points of view: from the base web service technologies and standards, to the higher level and more domain specific aspects of tools for implementation and Service Level Agreements for operation.
The INSPIRE Directive requires spatial data services implementing rules to be developed.
The exploratory phase & the Spatial Data Services Working Group
As part of the exploratory phase, before starting the implementing rules drafting process, the European Commission consulted the National Contact Points on the scope of the spatial data services, of the corresponding implementing rules and the associated development process during a workshop before the INSPIRE conference. Subsequently the Commission requested the National Contact Points to nominate experts for the development of a working group for the provision of recommendations before the effective start of the implementing rules drafting.
