    Formal Mandate: 
    <p>AEA Group is mandated under contract with the UK and Gibraltar Governments to compile submissions relating to the NECD Directive, European Monitoring Mechanism and the UNFCCC relating to Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas emissions, reporting under the EIONET agreement &amp; reporting of compliance under the CAFE Directive to the European Commission.</p>
    Main Activities: 
    Operation of air quality monitoring networks, data dissemination services, air quality modelling & assessment services services, environmental policy support & advice (air, contaminated land, waste, energy & renewables), consultancy.

    Previous Experience relevant for INSPIRE development: 
    Developmentair emissions & pollutant concentration fields, QA/QC & associated metadatasets. Infomation dissemination to public, reasearch communities & Commission under various reporting mechanisms. Task leaders for the European Topic Centre on Air & Climate Change reviewing techniques and data availibility for spatial emissions inventory development. Participation in EU/CEN working groups on standardisation of air pollution/emissions sampling & measurement techniques. GIS modelling of air pollution.
