    Formal Mandate: 
    <p>The Ministry of Finance has the political and legal mandate for the implementation of a spatial data infrastructure in Bavaria and the transposition of INSPIRE in Bavaria. The Ministry of Finance represents all governmental departments involved in INSPIRE data themes.</p>
    Main Activities: 
    In accordance to the INSPIRE framework directive the Bavarian Ministry of Finance already established a law for the transposition of INSPIRE in Bavaria. Due to the federal structure in Germany it is the task of each state to transpose INSPIRE on the state level. Bavaria is the first state in Germany that adopted a SDI law conformant to INSPIRE. A steering committee and a SDI office have been implemented in order to coordinate the transpositon phase of INSPIRE.
