    <p>The Belgian Interregional Environment Agency is<br /> mandated to manage the<br /> national database concerning air pollution and<br /> develop the necessary software<br /> for its exploitation. This database includes all data<br /> which has been acquired by<br /> the three regional monitoring networks in Belgium and<br /> relevant information<br /> about the sample locations.<br /> The Belgian Interregional Environment Agency is<br /> mandated to transmit<br /> national data concerning air quality to the european<br /> level and other<br /> international organisations.</p>
    Main Activities: 
    The main activities of the Belgian Interregional Environment Agency are the exploitation of the interregional calibration laboratory, the exploitation of the national database on air quality, the prediction of (sumer and winter) SMOG episodes, composing rapports on air quality and emissions of gaseous substances to the regional, Belgian, European and international level and informing the public on (current) pollution levels.
