    <p>CREAF is involved in the generation of new<br /> databases following INSPIRE guidelines and<br /> cooperates with the Cartographic Institute<br /> of Catalonia in their application. CREAF<br /> is also active in the data standard<br /> formats arena, being the editors of the<br /> OGC 07-057r7 WMTS standard. Joan Masó,<br /> researcher in CREAF, is the EGU ESSI<br /> division president. CREAF is member of the<br /> following GEO tasks: the Standards and<br /> Interoperability Forum Group, the ID-03<br /> Science and Technology Group and the EC-01<br /> Global Ecosystems Monitoring Group.<br /> Finally, CREAF is the leader of the GEO<br /> Spain users forum chair. </p>
    Main Activities: 
    * Generation of new cartographic products and databases, in particular, National Forest Invetories and Land Cover Maps * Generation of Catalan cartography jointly with the Catalan government and the Cartographic Institute of Catalonia * Members of OGC: - editors of the OGC 07-057r7 WMTS standard - promoting the GeoTIFF SWG standard * Promoting GEO and members of the following tasks: - Standards and Interoperability Forum Group - the ID-03 Science and Technology Group - EC-01 Global Ecosystems Monitoring Group * Contributors and Spanish representative in the ISO 19115-1 and ISO19157 * Promoting the elicitation of quality information within metadata records * Developers of a GIS and RS software, MiraMon, since 1995 * Acitve in the research GIS and RS community
