Previous Experience relevant for INSPIRE development:
The Danish National Agency for Enterprise and Construction focuses on digitalizing, coordination and merging real property data of various public agencies.
The agency governs the Danish Building and Dwelling Register, which is the authentic base register for buildings/dwellings and for addresses
Furthermore the agency runs The Public Data Server, PDS, which is a data warehouse for a collection of property-related data in Denmark. The PDS enables citizens to enquire both on freely available data and data on their own property via the web (www.ois.dk). The PDS also gives public authorities, private business and citizens a simple one-stop, free access to publicly compiled property data through a single web-portal. It also makes the original data sets available in XML-format for licensed distributors who refine and subsequently re-distribute data, thereby ensuring competition and value-adding in this area.
Presently OIS contains a copy of the following registers: the Building and Dwelling Register (BDR), the Municipal Property Data System (ESR), the Danish Cadastre Registry, the Government’s Sales and Evaluation Register (SVUR), the Register of Plans and more. Updates in base registers are transferred to the PDS on a daily basis to ensure consistency.
