    <p>IT- og Telestyrelsen is mandated by parliamentary decision to oversee and coordinate data standardization and it architecture across the public sector in Denmark.</p>
    Main Activities: 
    Approval and development of OIOXML data standards. Coordination of OIOXML standardization of geodata. Coordination and recommendation of common principles for it architecture in the public sector. Standardization of trade documents (UBL). Coordination and recommendation of standards for use of web services.

    Previous Experience relevant for INSPIRE development: 
    IT- og Telestyrelsen has led the development of the common Danish XML dialect OIOXML and participated in the development of UBL 2.0 giving us valuable experience in the practical development and use of data standards. Furthermore we are working on common strategies and standards for secure and reliable document exchange via web services. We also have expertise regarding the establishment of common architectural principles across the Danish public sector - including the challenges of navigating a loosely coupled network of authorities. Experience in international cooperation through participation in data standardization in CEN, UN/CEFACT and OASIS.
