Mission and Objectives: 
Our aim is: 1)to consult the legal acts when they concern the field of broadly understood surveying (law on surveying, cadastre, LIS/GIS, construction etc.) 2)license in surveying is granted by the Surveyor General (Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography in Poland) according to the qualification and examination procedure; APS organizes the proper training courses and APS’s representatives are nominated by Surveyor General of Poland as members of the Examination Commission for licensing, 3)to organize professional contests concerning the quality of surveying projects, e.g.: contest of quality of the land consolidation projects, 4)to run the procedure of recognition the professional qualification of surveyors and licensing. 5)professional qualification is certified by Association’s degree of professional specialization for individuals and Association’s recommendation for surveying companies. 6)ASP consists of different range of draft section, like: Land surveying Section, Estimation of real estate section, Advanced geodesy Section, Polish Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Section, Rural and Forestry Surveying

APS acts as a voluntary organization of individuals being professional surveyors due to the diploma certifying education in land surveying
Activities: 
1)Three domestic conferences or symposia are organized yearly (on an average); each gathers ca 200 participants (with singular international participation), 2)Organization/co-organization of the Polish-Czech-Slovak “International Geodetic Days” - every year in one of the countries, 3)Symposia co-organized with the Committee for Geodesy, Polish Academy of Sciences, 4)local workshops and trainings.
Membership: 
1)ASP belongs to International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) our Polish colleagues chaired FIG Technical Commissions (Commission 2, 6, 7, 8). 2)Our experts belong to International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing as a scientific Section of the ASP. 3)Our experts belong to Association of Polish Cartographers and Polish Association for Spatial Inforamation
Comments: 
Our association focus on the integration of professional surveyor’s activities. We would like to underline that the APS consist of experts, from the whole Poland, who belong to central, regional, local government and private companies. To summer up, our experience based on individual work of ours participants. We are open to share and to support INSPIRE iniciative with all our practical knowledge

    One of our member is a Deputy of chairman of SDI interdepartment groups at Surveyor General of Poland, who is responsible for implementation of INSPIRE project in Poland, is adequate proof that he is the person, who know the INPSIRE project from technical and legal side. He is also the person, who created concept of National Geographic Information System and NSDI for Poland as coauthor and concept of Metadata system for public geodetic and cartographic sources on central and wojewodship level-coauthor
