Mission and Objectives:
The mission of ESDIC is to contribute towards establishing a European energy spatial information infrastructure that delivers to the users integrated spatial information services. The ESDIC objectives are: 1) To provide a platform to discuss spatial data needs in the energy security arena 2) To enhance cooperation and sharing of spatial data in the energy sector 3) To ensure that energy spatial data needs and requirements are channelled into the INSPIRE initiative 4) To ensure that any GIS initiatives developed in IE are INSPIRE compliant.

ESDIC is a platform where entities interested in energy spatial data can share and exchange information and discuss their needs.
Activities:
- Promote dialogue amongst energy spatial data users - Map energy spatial data sources - Identify and promote synergies and complemantarities amongst institutions working with energy spatial data (users, transformers and producers)
