Mission and Objectives:
The EULIS Programme is currently setting up a pan-European Land Information Service. The objective of EULIS is -to provide easy Europe-wide access -to European electronic land and property information -in order to promote /underpin a single European property market

The EULIS Programme is based on an agreement between eight national land information providers, forming a consortium.
Activities:
Based on the 2004 successfully finished EULIS project supported by the EC eContent programme, ending up with a prototype of a possible pan-European land information service, the origin partners now are developing the service to be operational during 2005. At the same time further countries are invited to take part in the service. By today three more national land information agencies have decided to join the service and additional agencies are underway. The service will mainly consist of two parts. First, land information directly from the national registers is provided. Secondly, comprehensive descriptions on national conditions as legal framework, register contents, procedures for real property transactions, etc. together with lingual support is provided. The service will use modern portal technique.
