Mission and Objectives: 
To provide seamless access to national reference information (mapping, cadastral and land registry) for the benefit of the European or cross border users. In this context we are the primary organisation that is responsible for 10 of the 31 themes in INSPIRE.
Formal Mandate: 
None
Mandate: 
Not for profit association of Europe's National Mapping and Cadastre Agencies set up under French law. Currently 49 organisations from 42 countries.
Activities: 
Development of pan-European (reference information) products and services through data harmonisation and interoperability; and exchange of best practice. The above is achieved throuhg project teams and Expert Groups, working on data specifications, technical architectures, data policies for data sharing (pricing & licensing), organisational structures, metadata, harmonisation of data to produce pan-European products.
Membership: 
The national mapping and cadastral agencies of Europe. A full list is available on the EuroGeographics website.
Comments: 
EuroGeographics is an 'umbrella' organisation. It coordinates the activities of its members across Europe. For the purposes of this call, it will be its members (as LMOs and representatives of EuroGeographics - the SDIC) who will nominate experts, describe relevant projects etc EuroGeographics (Head office) does not have the resource or capacity to nominate experts to the drafting teams, and in any case because of its involvement on the INSPIRE Expert Group cannot be involved.
