Mission and Objectives: 
Specification of standardized data models focused on rail infrastructure and interfaces for information exchange as foundation and precondition for more efficient business processes as well as sustainable improvement of economics. An interface standard for data exchange was developed (VDV-Standard 456) concerning the areas planning, manufacturing, operation (service) and removal of infrastructure facilities.

In this stage of the research project main activities are proof of practical feasibility as well as the enlargement and update of the IDMVU-Data-Model. In addition manuals are in progress.

It is assumed that INSPIRE realizes the IDMVU-structures but no indication could be found.
