Mission and Objectives: 
The Objectives of the Forum are: 1 - focus on outreach to raise awareness of the benefits of OGC standards and encourage implementation of standards, 2 - help to identify and represent French interoperability issues and requirements in the larger European context, 3 - provide a mechanism for coordinated representation in the OGC European Forum, 4 - and provide a platform for OGC growing membership and project participation by French organizations, including universities and research organizations.

For the time being, the OGC France Forum is a working group of OGC; It is the association of OGC members acting in France.
Activities: 
These objectives will be achieved through some key missions : - Develop a set of documentation presenting the OGC standards in French, and adapted to French issues, use cases and organizational features - Identify requirements related to French needs for introduction into OGC processes - Manage an OGC France Forum site to support dissemination, discussion and demonstration - Coordinate the organization of Interoperability Day events in France on a regular basis, in relation with the Geo French events - Develop supportive and synergistic working relationships with the Afigeo, CNIG and similar French “geo”organizations so as to complement their programs and achieve authentic mutual benefit - Improve OGC membership in France, particularly with local government, academic and research organizations - Support the OGC Europe Forum, and OGC global outreach in furthering the OGC global mission.
