Regional and Urban Seismic Risk in Romania SDIC
Mission and Objectives: 
Mission: To embark on the INSPIRE Directive implementation related to Seismic risk zones as part of to Annex III, Theme 12 – Natural risk zones. Objectives: To produce seismic risk zones based on a methodology that shall take into account both hazard and vulnerability, and which shall be tuned on the specific conditions of Romania. The methodology should be applicable at national, regional/county and urban level.
Formal Mandate: 
All organizations belonging to SeismicRiskRo SDIC have as mandate and/or are currently involved in activities related to seismic risk assessment in Romania.
Propose and promote specific methodology for seismic risk assessment in Romania. This methodology shall be the basis for seismic risk zones identification within Annex III, Theme 12 – Natural risk zones.
The founding members of SeismicRiskRo are: Urban Engineering and Regional Development Department within Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest ( Structural Safety Group within Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest National Center for Seismic Risk Reduction ( SeismicRiskRo is opened to all stakeholders active in Seismic risk assessment in Romania
