Mission and Objectives: 
Set up a new approach in dealing with the distribution of data of public interest with spatial reference for a modern monitoring and data reporting of the TUSCIA (Viterbo) Province with the aim of data distribution and delivery across the different levels of local and provincial governments. Achieve an harmonization of geospatial data set of bordering provincies. Set up Policies needed to achieve permanent training and upgrade of employees qualification to reduce duplicated data collection and promote the harmonisation of different geospatial databases for a broader dissemination and use of geographic data. Set up a framework of distributed work on the territorial maps placed line for different aims. Set up a portal geospatial information for disaster managers, to deal with bush fires, flooding and land slides, using spatial information to integrate data from a variety of disciplines for a variety of uses.

Mandate: 
As expression of the GIS centre of the Province of Viterbo the SDIC will harmonize public and private participation to the safeguard of the natural and cultural heritage of the province. The Community territory shall benefit from a widely accessible spatial infrastructure in a framework of coordination of private and public information delivery and monitoring across the Community. Production of hazard maps on in real time shall be a good way of communicating with the public. Coordination of different efforts and bridging the public/private information gap shall be the characteristics of TUSCIAWEB geo spatial information portal. Taking the origin from www.tusciainforma.it this new geospatial infrastructure has the mandate to act as a disaster management tool in case of fires, flooding and land slides
Activities: 
Experience the on –line interaction of heterogeneous groups working as disaster managers. Detailing technical specifications and personal involvement strategies and work approaches. Producing a geospatial portal project.
Membership: 
60 local governments, Provincial government, regional Government, volunteers associations, fire brigades, police, local government police….
