Mission and Objectives: 
ZBDGK Katowice is the sole state R&D institution in the country, focused strictly on the Urban Infrastructure Management. It is directly supervised by the Ministry of Infrastructure in Government of Poland. It provides research for the Government, local and regional authorities, but mainly for the companies delivering public services - water, sewage, heating, transportation. It researches expectations, needs and possibilities for improvements, develops the pilot projects for testing new solutions in territorial governance and develops standards in this field.
