The SmartOpenData project focuses its tasks to identify and document on how Linked Open Data principles can be applied to public and voluntary spatial data resources such as INSPIRE, GEOSS Data-CORE, GMES, OpenStreetMap, GEOWIKI, etc., and how it can impact on the economic and sustainable progress of European Environmental research, Water and Biodiversity Protection and Rural Development. Related Workshop discussion topic no. 1: “What are the main benefits and limitation of having Linked (Open} Geo Data?” [More information in the Attached Document]

Related Workshop discussion topic no. 2: “What are the main Linked Geo Data infrastructure’s related issues to be addressed nowadays?” [More information in the Attached Document]

Related Workshop discussion topic no. 3: “How can SmartOpenData contribute and benefit in line with activities of INSPIRE Maintenance and implementation framework?” On top of this SmartOpenData infrastructure set of target pilots from smart regions are foreseen to be implemented addressing following domains: • Agroforestry management pilot leader TRAGSA (Spain) partners DGI (Portugal) • Environmental research, Biodiversity pilot leader MAC (Ireland) • Water monitoring pilot leader ARPA (Italy) • Forest sustainability pilot leader FMI (Czech republic) • Environmental data reuse SAŽP (Slovakia)

[More information in the Attached Document]

Related Workshop discussion topic no. 4: “What is the first feedback of the participants on the proposed pilots? What do they like and what is missing?” [More information in the Attached Document]

Related Workshop discussion topic no. 5: “What are the most appropriate communities? What are their needs and their potential?
