(Submission #232)
One of the key challenges to solve in the European data puzzle (INSPIRE) is the data harmonization and transformation into the INSPIRE data model. This INSPIRE task has certain effects for all key players in the spatial data arena. Data providers are restructuring their data storage systems and services, software providers are extending their systems with new functionalities and service types, and data end users can benefit from new information platforms and apps based on this new data and service architecture.
This Workshop will give a detailed view on the “INSPIRE Spatial Data and Service” project of the Ministry of Spatial Data from the federal state agency of Saxony, Germany. It will show how INSPIRE data and ArcGIS for INSPIRE is embedded in the e-Government strategy of Saxony, and how focused apps based on INSPIRE services will help end users quickly find the right information at the right time.
Topic Area: Integrating eGovernment with INSPIRE Abstract Type: Oral Presentation
