The workshop is part of the stakeholder consultation for the Fitness Check (see details: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/legal/reporting/fc_overview_en.htm). It will be the third event in a series of workshops (see details: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/legal/reporting/workshops_en.htm) and present the preliminary final results of the evidence gathering with the view to get further input and feedback from national experts, business and citizens organisation. The implementation of the INSPIRE Directive is one promising tool to streamline and facilitate environmental monitoring and reporting and it will feature in the discussions. The aim is to bring the environmental reporting community and experts on INSPIRE together at this event.
