Predefined Workflows for Creating INSPIRE Data and Services with FME

Benjamin Quest

(Submission #307)

Abstract

Meeting the specifications of the INSPIRE data models requires the implementation of automated schema transformation workflows within the existing spatial data infrastructures. The predefined Workflows of the INSPIRE Solution Pack for FME are supporting and simplifying the mapping process for creating INSPIRE compliant data for all annex themes. The presentation will give insights into the benefits of using the template workflows and the new functions of the latest version. It will also showcase the implementation and use of hosted INSPIRE mapping services based on FME Server and FME Cloud and discuss a blueprint for building INSPIRE nodes.

The presentation is based on con terra’s experiences in a number of INSPIRE mapping projects on creating INSPIRE GML and the related ATOM Feeds and feeding the Esri ArcGIS for INSPIRE Database Templates to provide INSPIRE compliant services.
