Central geodata node in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) - diverse use of the technology components

(Submission #353)

Abstract

In Saxony-Anhalt a uniform concept for the automatic provision of differently structured geodata via Web services was developed at an early stage to fulfill various legal tasks. With the same technological approach, view and download services can be generated from all geodata in Saxony-Anhalt (regardless of whether INSPIRE-relevant or not) and are updated automatically in a particular cycle. This technology has been in productive use since 2017 and is characterized by a very high degree of synergy and efficiency.

An overview of the service-oriented architecture (SOA) and the central components used is given for the solution approach described in the feasibility study geodata focussed on regional applications and INSPIRE.

As a result of the feasibility study, there are different ways of data provision, which have different priorities depending on purpose (INSPIRE or non-INSPIRE) and offices. Finally the geodata of the decentralized geodata nodes are now available in the harmonized central geodatabase for interoperable networking. Additional the technology components are presented with regard to the component for protection and security as well as the provision of INSPIRE-relevant and non-relevant services.
