START Conference Manager

The effect of exchanging information on the construction and utilities sector.

Liesbeth Rombouts

(Submission #123)

KLIP (Cable and Pipeline Information Portal) is a driver of major changes in the utility sector in Flanders: companies have digitized the information about their pipeline infrastructure, most of them have fully automated their processes. The digitization continues to make its mark: KLIP is one of the driving forces for the presence of tablets on the construction sites. Contractors get their data much faster, data can be interpreted more easily and quickly. Even on site during the excavation works.

This part of the session focusses on the practical implementation and the end user interaction.
