Abstract

Since the release of the geoportal Geopunt in Nov 2013 we have monitored the use of Geopunt with Google Analytics. Now, five years later we are sitting on a treasure trove of user data and the time has come to take a step back and find answers to the Big Questions! We try to get answers to questions as: how do they find their way to our portal? Which data layers do they mostly view? Which tools do they use most often and which ones least? Which search terms are used regularly? How is their journey through Geopunt? After how much time on the site do they leave? How many recurring users does the portal have? During this session we will dive into this treasure of information and see how Google Analytics can be used as a powerful business decision tool for your geoportal.
