(Submission #148)

Abstract

The presentation will briefly outline the policy context and describe the actions foreseen in the 2017 European Commission’s staff working document on actions resulting from the Fitness Check on Environmental Monitoring and Reporting. EEA together with it’s Eionet network are strongly involved in the implementation. We will present the status of the involvement into the action, where the focus will lie on the development of Reportnet 3.0 responding to the demands towards a future-prone reporting system and on the work to, jointly with the countries, identify, describe and make available priority spatial datasets related to the environmental reporting aquis. Further activities on which a short report will be included are related to Copernicus, Citizen Science and to Pan-European processes.
