INSPIRE data providers faced last November the challenge to make available their Annex 1 information according to INSPIRE. The regional Government of Navarre (Spain) has the responsibility of the cadastral information in the region and the Government through the Territorial Information System of Navarre (SITNA) and the public company Tracasa, the assignment to make those data discoverable, viewable and downloadable. The experience to make cadastral parcels of Navarre INSPIRE compliant, has been enriching. The challenges we have faced have been not from the perspective of the data specifications, but on the very complex services specifications compliance. Nowadays, cadastral parcels of Navarre are available through WMS and WFS, but to be able to achieve it, we have had to implement in the proper software the necessary improvements to reach the goal to be INSPIRE compliant. However, this success has been possible not only for the developments made at Tracasa, but also, thanks to the collaboration among the different responsible for the cadastral parcels theme at National, Regional and Local level in Spain. The collaboration smoothly coordinated by the General Directorate of Cadastre in Spain has been a best practise on how to make the things work properly is possible. Nevertheless, further from the enriching and fruitful collaboration, still some weakness overshadow the future of INSPIRE from the perspective of Data Providers. The investment to make the data INSPIRE compliant is still high, and more in those organisations with a long history in geospatial issues and loyalty to services that cannot be changed entirely to INSPIRE. In those situations, INSPIRE become one more offer, but it does not replace the previous ones. The concern of data providers is now who is using the information and developing applications; or services for that purposes; where are those best practises in real world; or, when would it be available? During the presentation, we will introduce our experience working in the cadastral parcels theme, presenting the problems faced and how they have been solved; how the collaboration experience has been crucial; and, we finally will outline some thought on how to exploit this information in different areas.
