The objective of this contribution is to present the results from the INSPIRE Hackathon 2018 organised and supported by several EU projects and initiatives including Plan4all, DataBio, NextGEOSS, PoliVisu, EUXDAT, APIs4DGov, the European Data Portal and the EU Open Data Portal. INSPIRE Hackathon 2018 is a global event combining experienced data users, programmers and geospatial experts. The contribution will show a good example of cooperation between different actors in the spatial and open data domains.
The topic of the INSPIRE Hackathon this year is how to easily integrate INSPIRE, GEOSS, COPERNICUS data with data from other domains using web APIs, and create value added applications. The target domains include:
Agriculture and sustainable bioeconomy
Transport applications for policy making
Planning
Environmental protection
Internet of Things
Weather
Biodiversity
The presentation will include a brief introduction of the the jury, the evaluation criteria and all the teams including the result applications and projects.
The contribution will include an overview of application programming interfaces (APIs) publicly available and how they can support combining different types of data across different disciplines.
