The European Interoperability Architecture (EIA) action is an architecture content metamodel defining the most salient architectural building blocks (ABBs) needed to build interoperable eGovernment solutions in compliance with the European Interoperability Framework, EIF. The EIRA provides a controlled vocabulary that shall be used by people working for public administrations in various architecture and system development tasks. The EIRA uses the ArchiMate© modelling notation and it follows the SOA architectural style.
The Cartography Tool (CarTool) solution brings together high level support for the EIRA. It is a plug-in for the popular ArchiMate© modelling tool Archi®. It includes both editing features, to model solutions using the EIRA, and querying features to query an EIRA-based Cartography of solutions.
IMAPS is an action that belongs to the European ISA² Programme. The principal aim is fostering cross-border interoperability between public administrations in Europe. IMAPS is fully aligned with the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) and is designed to help public service owners evaluate, improve and consider all key interoperability aspects of their digital public service.
The IMAPS provides insight into the current interoperability maturity of a digital public service based on a set of defined interoperability attributes and maturity stages. The IQAT solution is an Excel tool that allows solution owners to quickly assess the potential interoperability of their software solutions supporting public services. IQAT is fully compliant with the 2017 version of the revised European Interoperability Framework (EIF) recommendations. IQAT is based on a software solution Interoperability Conceptual Model that defines four Interoperability Areas: Interoperability Governance, SW Architecture, Human-to-Machine interfaces, and Machine-to-Machine interfaces.
The Common Assessment Method for Standards and Specifications (CAMSS) solution, is maintained by an action of the same name which belongs to the European ISA² programme. Providing a common method to use in the assessment and selection of technical specifications relevant to eGoverment projects, It aims at fostering cross-border interoperability between public administrations in Europe.
