Save the date!

On October 22-24, 2019, Helsinki will gather leading developers and influencers of European spatial data infrastructures to take on the challenge to create the future of spatial data and services.

Join us in harvesting the 'Sea of European spatial data' to improve both decision-making and the daily life of everyone.

At the Inspire Helsinki 2019 event:

  • We look beyond the status quo to see what can be achieved with European spatial data now and in the future.
  • We want to get the full potential of the latest technologies.
  • We bring together approximately 150 people to foster discussion and new ideas in data challenges.
  • We host practical hands-on workshops and outstanding keynote presentations in a modern venue.

Check the event website to know more!

Four Data Challenges

The Inspire Helsinki 2019 hosts challenges for practical uses of spatial data in the domains of sea, weather and built environment. They were selected from the proposals received for the call for challenges.

The challenge teams sign up before 16 August to solve one of these challenges during September 2019. The winners are awarded at the Inspire Helsinki 2019 event in October.

Each challenge holds a webinar to present their challenge. The webinars are a great way to get a more in depth view on each challenge. See the about and awards & rulespages for more information.

Hands-on Workshops

The event will also have workshops aiming to boost the awareness of new technologies for the provision and use of e.g. API based spatial data and Internet of Things (IoT). Topics of the workshops are related to the data challenges.
