Webinar: Pushing WMS services to their limits - Smart solutions as candidate INSPIRE Good Practices

Date:
Tuesday, February 8, 2022 - 14:00 to 15:30

The INSPIRE framework envisages the creation and maintenance of view services in the Member States which are mainly intended for visualization, initial assessment of quality and fitness for purpose, as well as simple analysis of the spatial data sets in the scope of the INSPIRE Directive.

During the ‘Pushing WMS services to their limits - Smart solutions as candidate INSPIRE Good Practices’ webinar the presenters will share with the audience their experiences on how to extend WMS services with additional functionalities which may significantly improve their usability and end-user experience. These two practices are respectively focused on using WMS technology for downloading spatial data and for integrating different WMS services from the local level.

Both experiences have been submitted as INSPIRE Good Practices candidates, being the present event the third step (step 3. Outreach) of the procedure for formally proposing and endorsing them.

This online event is jointly organised by the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography in Poland (GUGIK) and the INSPIRE Team at the European Commission Joint Research Centre.

Participation in the webinar is open to the community, without any need for registering.
