I was an active member of the INSPIRE Thematic Working Group on Orthoimagery, attending meetings and telecons, arranging a TWG meeting at our UK headquarters, and contributing to the specification. My professional career has largely been in the fields of remote sensing and the extraction of information from imagery. I advised colleagues on the INSPIRE Thematic Working Group on Elevation, and have worked on elevation models for almost 25 years, both in the academic sector and within a national mapping agency. I have a long-standing interest in spatial reference systems, including the transformation between different reference systems, and I was responsible for developing the first official Ordnance Survey transformation between OSGB36 and ETRS89 data.
