18 years of experience (1991 – present) in the coordination of various teams for the implementation of successful projects, working with several institutions and experts, including informational technology experts, developers, biologists, academy members, decision makers, politicians, members of non-governmental organizations, volunteers, etc. (and as a president of the non-governmental organization until 2000, then as the government representative, and between 2007 – 2009 as project leader employed by the European Union Commission); 15 years of experience in designing, developing and managing of geographical (GIS) and non-geographical databases in biodiversity, environment protection and topography; 2 years of international experience in the management of EU biodiversity databases; Excellent knowledge of all geographical databases (GIS) in Romania owned by public institutions including the databases owned by the Ministry of National Defense and a good knowledge of the geographical databases produced by private businesses; 5 years of experience with the INSPIRE directive which entails the sharing of geographical data (GIS) at EU level: - member of INSPIRE TWG-BR-SD-HB; - presenter at INSPIRE Conferences from Cracow 2010 and Istanbul 2012; - dataset and matadata creation for romanian Protected Sites INSPIRE theme; Please see more details in CV.
