I was editor of the INSPIRE TWG which produced the Geology and Mineral Resources data specifications. I chaired the working group responsible for developing the international geological exchange standard GeoSciML, which was a major input to the INSPIRE Geology data specification. I have been heavily involved in the development of EarthResourceML which was a major input to the INSPIRE Mineral Resources specification. I have over 30 years experience of working with geoscience information.
