II2 (Land cover) - Support to the development of the INSPIRE data specifications on land cover, as a member of the MARS Unit of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. Participation to the elaboration of Annex F of the same data specifications. Extensive experience in land cover modeling and inventory. Elaboration of several datasets based on LCCS and LCML. Modelling of the agriculture land cover types from the EU CAP regulation, through LCCS, for the purpose of the LPIS Quality Assessment (Regulation 1122/2009). FAO TCCT consultant for the national land cover inventory in Romania (TCP/ROM/ 2801). Elaboration of the national land cover dataset of Bulgaria (BULCOVER) based on LCCS and FAO/TCP/BUL/8922. Member of the EAGLE group. II3 (Orthoimagery) - Member of the INSPIRE TWG on Orthoimagery, on behalf of the MARS Unit of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.

Implementation of INSPIRE in the scope of the EURDF - funded cross-border cooperation project "Common Strategy for Territorial Development of the cross-border region of Bulgaria and Romania". Harmonization of more than 10 thematic datasets covering 70 000 sq.km. along the longest border in the EU. Design and implementation of LPIS Quality Assessment Framework called by ComReg 1122/2009. Development of the external validation scheme for FP7 SATChMO. Contribution to the update and extension of the JRC quality control guidance document on orthoimagery.
