Our unit within the Flemish Government agency "Leefmilieu, Natuur en Energie" (LNE) is responsible for implementing the European Noise Directive (END) 2002/49; this means that each 5 years we have to produce a set of modelled noise maps, that need to be reported to the Europe. The spatial information behind these maps fall under the INSPIRE scope (theme "Human Health & Safety), and hence need to comply to it. Because in the current Data Specifications (v3.0) these noise maps are not yet included, we have an interest to update this document; we believe that this should happen in a coordinated way with all the member states, because they are all affected by this problem.
