Grade separate crossing : difficult to match existing data

Dominique LAURENT
By Dominique LAURENT

The grade separate crossing is good model for new data but unfortunately, it's not always feasible to match existing data.

Typically, in IGN medium scale data, instead of grade separate crossings, we have nodes and a set of associations to document the level of each link starting or ending at this node.

It is impossible to match our data to the INSPIRE model of grade separate crossing => the information that the node is not a junction but a "bridge" is lost.
