Biogeographical regions
The bio-geographical regions data set contains the official delineations used in the Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC) and for the EMERALD Network set up under the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (Bern Convention). More information: http://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/biogeographical-regions-europe-1
INSPIRE Bio-geographical regions data specifications refer to the same classification, provided by the European Environment Agency, more information at: http://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/biogeographical-regions-europe/codelist-for-bio-geographical-regions

Tom BLOMThe current (December 2016) version is available at
http://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/biogeographical-regions-europe-3
However, the data is not in GML format. I'm searching for any data on "Bio-geographical Regions" in GML that confirms to the INSPIRE Bio-geographical schema. Nothing found yet. I'd be grateful for any hints.

Stefania MORRONEHi Tom,
I've just uploaded a gml dataset conformant to Bio-geographicalRegions.xsd. It's the result of the transformation of source dataset http://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/biogeographical-regions-europe-3 according to INSPIRE BR application schema.
The gml dataset is also available as WFS service at
http://cloud.epsilon-italia.it:8085/deegree-webservices-3.3.18/services/EEA_BR_WFS?service=WFS&version=2.0.0&request=GetFeature&typeNames=br:Bio-geographicalRegion
you can get a WMS preview at http://cloud.epsilon-italia.it:8085/deegree-webservices-3.3.18/console/wms/wms.html (clicking on the ‘+ ‘ icon on the right and selecting relevant layer).
The gml file as well as the WFS and WMS services were developed in the framework of a feasibility study commissioned by the EEA.
Best regards
Stefania
