The European geospatial industry may be at a turning point in 2018 as major initiatives gain momentum, such as Copernicus, EuroGEOSS, INSPIRE, and we also see a substantial increase in investment from the private sector in space and geospatial services across the world. In the coming years the Internet of Things and 5G networks will make location-based products and services even more critical for economic and social development.
At this stage therefore, monitoring and understanding change in the geospatial sector is crucial. For this reason the European Commission Joint Research Centre, Digital Economy Unit, is conducting a study of Earth Observation and geospatial companies in Europe, and we would be grateful if you could give us 5 minutes of your time and complete the survey by 31st March at:
